February 13, 2008

Georgetown, Texas - The Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND has announced its endorsement of Bryan Daniel for District 52 State Representative. As the largest farm organization in Texas, the Farm Bureau represents over 350,000 members across the state.

“Bryan Daniel has the unique qualification of working at both the federal and state levels of government,” said Kenneth Dierschke, president of Texas Farm Bureau and AGFUND. “The people of House District 52 have the opportunity to elect someone who will understand how to get things done for his district from day one,” Dierschke continued.

Daniel, who grew up in a small agricultural community, thoroughly understands issues facing agriculture and the importance of protecting private property rights. Before becoming Vice President and Board Member at Agricultural Workers Mutual Auto Insurance, Daniel served as the Texas State Director of Rural Development at the United States Department of Agriculture. He has also worked for the U.S. House of Representatives’ Agriculture Committee, the Texas Soil and Water Conservation Board, and the National Council for Agricultural Education.

“My family and I were incredibly excited and honored to learn of the Texas Farm Bureau’s endorsement,” Daniel stated. “The Farm Bureau strives to protect many of the values that make Texas unique and great, and I look forward to working with them to ensure the State of Texas preserves her agricultural roots,” he continued.

“With his agricultural and rural background, while also living in Georgetown, Bryan understands the issues affecting all the residents of House District 52 both rural and suburban,” Dierschke concluded.

Daniel and his wife, Tamara, live in Georgetown where he serves as an Advisory Board Member for the local chapter of Future Farmers of America. Daniel has recently received numerous awards, including the Distinguished Service Award from the Texas Forest Country Partnership, and the Outstanding Young Agriculturist Award from the Professional Agricultural Workers of Texas.
